This deficit was worsened by bases #14 and #15 becoming massive resource sinks that required 4 attacks each, forcing TH17 players like Loki and Gus Vats to hit up against TH18s. Finally, heartbreaking 99% and 98% near-misses on #11 by Ataraxy Queen and #12 by Dark Sparks, combined with KingSlapShot wasting a hit on an already-cleared base, left us mathematically unable to close the 6-star gap.
What-If Scenarios
If Ataraxy Queen and Dark Sparks had found the final 1-2% on bases #11 and #12, and KingSlapShot had used his wasted attack on a fresh base, we could have closed the gap significantly.
